O. Fitz Johnson
A lifelong resident of the Fredericksburg area, Fitz graduated from James Monroe High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College in 1972. He earned his real estate license while attending college and began his career in the property management department of Johnson & Glazebrook, Inc. He graduated from the University of Virginia Realtors Institute in 1971 and immediately went to work full-time in real estate upon receiving his degree.
Fitz headed the property management division of Johnson & Glazebrook, overseeing a large portfolio of apartments, office buildings, shopping centers, and residential rentals. He obtained his broker's license in 1974 and began specializing in commercial and investment property sales. Active in the local Board of Realtors, he served on the board of directors, chaired numerous committees, and was elected President in 1978. He also taught real estate finance at Germanna Community College.
In 1977, Fitz formed Johnson Properties, Inc., developing and acquiring strip shopping centers, mini-warehouses, fast food restaurants, apartments, residential subdivisions, and convenience stores. In 1984, he joined the Reddington Group as Vice President of the Eastern Region, where he raised in excess of $75 million in investor equity across thirteen states. In 1990, he rejoined Johnson & Glazebrook, helping transform it into the area's first full-service commercial and investment brokerage.
In 2000, Fitz founded Johnson Realty Advisors, Inc. Since then, JRA has facilitated hundreds of millions in brokerage transactions. He has also partnered in the acquisition, entitlement, and development of Crossroads Station — an 800-acre mixed-use development — and Jackson Village, a mixed-use project consisting of 1,200 multi-family units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.
Heather Hagerman
Heather began her real estate career in Laguna Beach, California in 1991. After several years in the North Orange County market, she moved back to Fredericksburg where she began work for Silver Company in 2005, focused on land acquisition and procurement of commercial retail users. She concurrently held her license with Coldwell Banker Elite, where she built a strong and loyal clientele.
Heather spent 16 years at Coldwell Banker Elite as an instrumental part of building a large team across multiple offices in the Greater Fredericksburg area. In 2022, she brought her talents to Johnson Realty Advisors — drawn by the firm's focus on being better, not bigger. Over the past ten years, Heather has brokered over $215,000,000 in real estate transactions, including notable projects such as Liberty Place, Amelia Square, and the Virginia Oncology Care Facility.
Outside of work, Heather has been a Past President and current Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fredericksburg. In 2016, she was appointed to the Stafford County Economic Authority, and currently serves as a TrustBank Advisory Board Member, SPCA Board of Directors, United Way Nominating Committee member, and Stafford County Board of Equalization member.
Fitzhugh Johnson III
Fitzhugh Johnson III is a third-generation real estate professional, his passion for the industry guided by the path paved by his grandfather, Orrick Fitzhugh Johnson Sr. ("Rick Johnson"), and his father, Orrick Fitzhugh Johnson Jr. ("Fitz Johnson").
Before entering real estate, Fitzhugh founded Rick Rock Adventure Guides, an outdoor adventure program based in Newport Beach, CA, in 2016. Following the sale of that business in 2020, he joined Johnson Realty Advisors and diligently set out to master his craft. In that short time, Fitzhugh has brokered over $20,000,000 in commercial transactions, acquired 12 residential rental properties, and built a loyal client base.
